Seedlac
Seedlac is the resin source for shellac, a finishing product. It is produced in this pellet form by trees in India attacked by the lac insect. The prefix seed refers to its pellet shape, and it often includes insect parts, wax and organic matter. Used in violin and other varnish. Soluble in alcohol.
