Seoul Subway Line 5, dubbed the purple line, is a long line crossing from the west to the east across the Capital Metropolitan Area. It is the first line attributed to the Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit (SMRT) company, who is operating lines 5 to 8. The line was built between 1990 and 1994. Trains on the line stop at:
