Severe weather phenomena are weather conditions that are hazardous.
Examples include:
- arctic cyclone
- cyclone (including European windstorms)
- monsoon
- tornado (also referred to as a whirlwind or twister)
- gustnado
- derecho
- tropical cyclone (also called a hurricane, typhoon, or "cyclone")
