Shait
In Egyptian mythology, Shait (or Shai) was a goddess of fate. She determined every human's life span, and appeared when the soul of the deceased was to be judged by Anubis.
Shait was also the first season of an Ancient Egyptian year. It began in June. It was the season of inundation, or flooding. The snow in Africa melted and ran down the mountains, into the Nile. The waters of the Nile traveled up to Egypt, flooded the land and made it fertile, so crops could be planted.
