Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay
Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay (1876–1938) was a famous Bengali writer and probably the most popular Bengali novelist. His works include Shrikanto, Pallisamaj, Charitrohin, Grihodaho, Bipradas, Pather Dabi, Sesh Prasna, etc. His work represented rural Bengali society and he often wrote against social superstitions, malpractice and oppression.
