Shari Ulrich
Shari Ulrich is a Canadian singer/songwriter. She has won a Juno Award for her work, and has acted as a television host.
Ulrich was born in San Rafael, California, and moved to British Columbia in 1973. Together with Rick Scott and Joe Mock , she created the Pied Pumkin String Ensemble . Her break came when she was hired to tour with Valdy and his Hometown Band. Shortly afterward, she won a Juno Award for most promising female artist of 1981.
She has also written items for Sesame Street, and composed theme music for several networks, including CBC.
As of 2005, Ulrich continues to perform solo and to tour with The Pied Pumkin. She is also a member of the ad hoc band UHF.
