Shenlong (Dragon Ball)

Shenlong, a.k.a. Shenron, is a magical dragon from the manga Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z and the anime Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. In the early Harmony Gold English Dragon Ball dub from the 1980's, it is known as a Dragon God.

Shenlong can be summoned by gathering all seven of the Dragon Balls of Earth. It can bestow any wish as long as it does not exceed the power of its creator, who must be still alive (i.e., Kami/Piccolo). The Dragon Balls cannot be used for one Earth year after a wish is made, as they turn to stone.

Unlike Porunga, Shenlong can only grant one wish per summoning, until Dende upgrades them to grant 2 wishes (or 1 wish every 4 months)

In Dragonball GT, an evil Shenron known as Black Smoke Shenron is made from the cracked Dragon Balls, which later splits into individual dragons. Goku and company are significantly inconvienced and must battle them.
