Shepherd's Bush tube station (Central Line)

Shepherd's Bush is a London Underground station. On the Central Line, it lies between White City and Holland Park stations, in Travelcard Zone 2.

An entirely separate London Underground station, also called Shepherd's Bush, is nearby on the Hammersmith and City Line. The two stations are both in the neighbourhood of Shepherd's Bush in west London, and are within walking distance of each other at each end of Shepherd's Bush Common. The area around the stations includes several popular concert venues, and Loftus Road Stadium , home of Queens Park Rangers F.C. and the London Wasps Rugby Union team.

The station opened in 1900 and was the original western terminus of the Central London Railway. West of the station the line turns sharply to the north as it runs past White City Depot and the two running tunnels pass under and over each other to access the anti-clockwise loop built for the now-disused Wood Lane station on the way to White City. This tracks are still used to provide access to White City station, resulting in trains running on the right through that station.
