Shigeto Dewa
Dewa Shigeto 出羽 重遠 1855-1930 was a Japanese admiral.
He was born in Aizu province (modern-day Fukushima prefecture) and graduated from the naval academy in 1882. In 1904, at the start of the Russo-Japanese War he commanded the Japanese first fleet and took part in the Port Arthur attacks and blockade. In 1905 he led the third battle division during the decisive battle at Tsushima Strait.
After the war he headed an investigation into the Siemens-Vicker navy armament scandal that eventually led to the fall of Admiral Yamamoto Gonnohyoe's cabinet in March 1914.
