ShoPro Entertainment
ShoPro Entertainment (小学館プロダクション) is the U.S. licensing arm of Shogakukan, a Japanese publisher. The company's full name is Shogakukan Productions Entertainment, Inc.. It merged with Viz Communications to form Viz Media.
The division was once ShoPro USA, but it is now ShoPro Entertainment. It is often criticized by anime fans for dubs which are not at all true to the original anime and are catered to very young children.
The San Francisco-based ShoPro Entertainment has the North American rights to several Japanese properties, such as:
- Corrector Yui
- Croket
- Deko Boko Friends
- Doraemon
- InuYasha
- Hamtaro
- MegaMan NT Warrior (RockMan EXE)
- Mirmo! (Mirumo de Pon)
- Monkey Turn
- Naruto
- Sonic X (along with 4Kids Entertainment)
- Taro the Space Alien
- Zatch Bell! (Konjiki no Gash Bell)
