Sigöldulón
The lake Sigöldulón is a reservoir in Iceland and also called Krókslón.
Its surface is measuring 14 km2.
The lake is situated in the south of the country not far from Landmannalaugar.
The name of the power station, Sigalda, comes from a tuff ridge at about 600 m above sea-level where the river Tungnaá passed once through a canyon. Now its waters are flowing in tubes into the power station which was constructed from 1973 to 1977.
