Silvia Pinal
Silvia Pinal (Born in 1931 in Guaymas, Mexico) is an actress famous for her roles in several of Luis Buñuel's movies such as El Angel Exterminador and Viridiana . She married several times to artists and politicians, among them Cuban actor Rafael Banquells who fathered her daughter Silvia Pasquel (Pasquel is a combination of the surnames Pinal and Banquells) and Enrique Guzman who fathered her daughter Alejandra Guzman. Silvia and Enrique hosted a TV show in the 1970s and divorced when Alejandra was still a child. She then married a Mexican politician and become one herself as a member of the PRI party in Mexico. In the 1979, she created a TV show about real-life stories about women, Mujer, Casos de la Vida Real, which keeps being a success in Latin America and the Spanish-speaking parts of the United States. She also starred in the Mexican version of the broadway hit Mame and has produced several plays and built her own theater Teatro Silvia Pinal .
