Simian crease
A simian crease is a single palmar crease (extending across the palm of the hand), as opposed to three creases people normally have.
Medicine
The presence of a simian crease can be a symptom of certain medical conditions; including genetics ones such as Down syndrome or Noonan syndrome.
Palmistry
In palmistry (palm reading) this fusing of the heart and the head lines is believed by practitioners to indicate the person has no distinction between what is desired and what is thought, resulting in an intense nature but a tendency to rush into things.
