Simon Armitage
Simon Armitage (born 1963 in Huddersfield) is a poet, playwright and novelist. He has lectured on creative writing at the University of Leeds (in West Yorkshire, where he lives) and the University of Iowa.
After much work in film, radio and television, and a lot of published poetry, Simon Armitage wrote All Points North (1999), a collection of essays on the north of England . The novel Little Green Man followed in 2001, and a second novel, White Stuff is expected in 2004.
