Simon Elliott (born June 10, 1974 in Wellington, New Zealand) is a Kiwi soccer player, who currently plays defensive midfielder for the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer.

Elliott played college soccer at Stanford University, where he scored 13 goals and 12 assists in four years between 1995 and 1998. Undrafted by MLS, he signed with A-League's Boston Bulldogs.

Midway through the 1999 season, Elliott was signed by the Los Angeles Galaxy. He immediately earned a spot in the Galaxy lineup, and finished the season as a candidate for Rookie of the Year, after registering two goals and five assists in 23 games. Elliott would remain a consistent starter for the Galaxy for the next four years, until he was traded before the 2004 season to the Crew in exchange for a first round pick in the 2005 MLS SuperDraft. In his five years with the Galaxy, Elliott would play in 126 games (115 starts), scoring 10 goals and 33 assists.

Although his position with the Galaxy was faltering in 2003, Elliott siezed his new opportunity with the Crew, and cemented a role as the starting defensive midfielder for one of the league's best teams, starting 26 games for the team, and registering 10 assists.

Elliott also plays for the New Zealand national team.
