Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE)
SALE is one of the aircraft leasing companies, providing operating lease and fleet financing solutions for the airline market. Headquartered in Singapore and with offices in the UK and USA, SALE's aircraft are currently in service with customers in Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East and North and South America.
The SALE fleet is one of the youngest in the leasing industry, with an average age of just five years. The fleet is primarily based around the Airbus A320 and Boeing B777 series, with the complete portfolio now comprising 62 aircraft. Another 10 aircraft are currently on firm order for future delivery.
In addition to the direct operating lease of new generation aircraft, SALE also offers a wide range of additional services including purchase and leaseback, structured finance, aircraft remarketing and technical management. In all areas of its business, SALE has complete in-house capability and seeks to provide customers with solutions customised to meet individual needs.
SALE is jointly owned by four shareholders. Singapore Airlines and German bank WestLB each hold 35.5% of the company, while Singapore government investment agencies Temasek Holdings and GIC each have a 14.5% share.
