Skógar
The village Skógar is situated to the south of the glacier Eyjafjallajökull in the south of Iceland. The name of the village means "forest", so it is probably the former site of a forest. The most outstanding feature at the site is the beautiful waterfall Skógafoss.
There is also a rather big museum with houses from different centuries and technical devices such as old cars and aircrafts. The founder of the museum, Ţórđur Tómasson, likes to show guests around and has interesting stories to tell.
