Skanderborg
Skanderborg is a municipality in central Denmark, in the county of Aarhus, on the peninsula of Jutland. The municipality covers an area of 143 km², and has a total population of 21,066.
On january 1st 2007 the municipality of Skanderborg will change name into NySkanderborg. At that time four municipalities will fusion into the larger NySkanderborg kommune - The municipality of NySkanderborg.
Since 1980, a music festival has been held annually in a forest in the vicinity of Skanderborg, the Skanderborg Festival. It is known as "Denmark’s Most Beautiful Festival".
