Soil (band)

SOiL is a five-piece heavy metal band from Chicago, formed in 1997. After two rather unsuccessful efforts, they managed to gain international success with their album Scars, with the help of singles like Halo or Unreal, bearing their distinctive and harsh, but also very emotional and melodic sound.

In 2004, singer Ryan McCombs announced a departure from the band; NY-based new vocalist AJ Cavalier was introduced on November 15, 2004
