Soul sleep
Soul sleep is a Christian doctrine claiming that between death and the resurrection of the dead, the body and soul rest together in unconsciousness. While it has predominantly been viewed (past and present) as aberrant -- but not heresy outright, the concept of soul sleep finds support from both the Old and New Testaments.
