Sound velocity
Sound velocity is in conventional use in scientific literature the same as sound speed.
Sound velocity should not be confused with sound particle velocity, which is the velocity of the individual particles.
In a gas the sound particle velocity is comparable to the sound speed, while in a solid or fluid the sound particle velocity is much smaller than the sound speed.
