South China University of Technology
South China University of Technology (SCUT) is located in Guangzhou, capital of the Guangdong province of southern China.
Formerly known as the South China Institute of Technology, it was established in 1952, through the amalgamation of the former Zhongshan University, Lingnan University, the South China Joint University as well as the faculties and technical departments from other 4 provinces. In 1960, it ranked among the key universities of China and was renamed South China University of Technology in January 1988.
