South Omaha
Before Omaha annexed it, South Omaha was a sovereign city. Made up mostly of packing house, stockyard and railroad workers; it earned the name "The Magic City" because it sprang-up so quickly due to the amount of people who made up the burgeoning and rapidly increasing workforce. South Omaha has, and continues to be, culturally diverse. Much of it’s citizenry is still descended from the people of Polish, Czech, Italian, Irish, and Latino descents who made up the original workforce.
