Stéphane Courtois
Stéphane Courtois is director of research at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), professor and editor of the journal Communisme. He has been one of the foremost scholars on communist history and among the leading historians of France, but he became world famous as the editor of the Black Book of Communism, which sold in millions in several languages.
