St. Clement Catholic Church (Ottawa)
St. Clement Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic Church located in Ottawa, Canada. It is a Traditional Catholic church. In 1998 the Priest claimed that the church offers "a fuller range of services in Latin than any other parish in the world."
The church opened as a standard Catholic church in 1957. Attendance at Ottawa's downtown churches began to decline, and in 1983 the Church was sold to the Maronite diocese of Ottawa. At the time the Maronite community in Ottawa was growing rapidly as a result of the Lebanese Civil War. In 1994 the Maronites moved to a larger church in Vanier and the traditionalists moved in. Prior to this the Latin mass community had been based in a small chapel.
