St. John's Fog Devils
The St. John's Fog Devils are a QMJHL expansion team that will take to the ice in the 2005-06 season. The team will be owned by local businessman Derm Dobbin and will play out of Mile One Stadium. There was fear that the team would not begin play until the 2006-07 season due to a disagreement between the team's owner and the St. John's City Council left the team without a lease agreement after a league imposed deadline. A deal was reached in the month that followed and the league decided to allow the Fog Devils to begin play in 2005. The team's coach and general manager will be, Real Paiement . He previously coached both the Acadie-Bathurst Titan and the Moncton Wildcats.
