Stanley Park Stadium

Stanley Park Stadium is a proposed title of the planned football stadium to be built in Stanley Park , Liverpool, England. The stadium has a planned all-seater capacity of about 60,000. The plans were initiated by Liverpool F.C. to replace its stadium at Anfield.

There were attempts by local rivals Everton F.C. to groundshare at the new stadium, (the club having cancelled a planned stadium at King's Dock due to costs), but Liverpool rejected this. The name Stanley Park Stadium was proposed for the purpose of facilitating a groundshare but Liverpool would prefer to call the new ground Anfield if it is all theirs.

The new stadium is due to open for the 2007/08 football season.
