Stephen Ladislaus I of Serbia

Stephen Ladislaus I (Stefan Vladislav I, Стефан Владислав I) (died after 1264) was Serb king from 1233 up to 1242, son of Stefan Prvovenčani and son-in-law of Bulgarian tzar Ivan Asen II. He overthrew his older brother, king Radoslav and succeeded with help from his father-in-law. He transferred body of Saint Sava from Trnovo to Mileševa . After death of his father-in-law, during Tatar invasion in Middle Europe he was overthrown by his younger brother Uroš, who gave him to rule Zeta.

His marriage with Beloslava, daughter of Ivan Asen II issued two children:

  1. Desa
  2. anonymous daughter, who married a Balkan nobleman.
