Stephen Moore (actor)

Stephen Moore (born December 11, 1937) is a British actor from Brixton, London.

His roles include:

  • the voice of Marvin the Paranoid Android in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. In the original radio version, he also played a number of minor characters including Gag Halfrunt and the ruler of the universe.
  • John Jolly in Clockwise
  • the father of Adrian Mole in the two ITV series
  • the father of "Kevin the Teenager" in a comedy series by Harry Enfield. (He is one of three actors to have played Kevin's Dad. No wonder the kid is so confused!)
  • Jack, left-wing teacher and morose husband of singer Anna in Rock Follies. The role can be seen as a prototype for Marvin.

His step-brother is Mark Moore from S'Express
