Stony Point railway line, Melbourne


The Stony Point line is a greater-metropolitan railway line in Melbourne, Australia. Services are run using an A-class locomotive , and up to 4 MTH carriages . It is the only greater-metropolitan railway line operated by Connex Melbourne, which operates the suburban electric network. No stations are manned, nor do they have Metcard machines or validators, which are instead installed on board the carriages.

The line is run as a shuttle service between Frankston and Stony Point, with passengers required to change to another train at Frankston station.

Goods trains serving the Long Island steel mills use the line as far as the junction of the Long Island line between Tyabb and Hastings.

Bold stations are terminuses, italic stations are staffed. Some unstaffed stations may be occasionally staffed for safeworking purposes.

Continues from the Frankston suburban line. All stations are in Metcard ticketing Zone 3.
