Subtle body
Subtle bodies are non-physical energy bodies that humans or other organisms may have. Many traditions name similar alleged bodies in other ways, or translate them differently into English.
Examples include:
- Astral body
- Buddhic body
- Causal body
- Etheric body
- Mental body
- Noetic body
- Soul
Subtle bodies is a common philosophical element in various mystical and esoteric traditions.
Theories which use the idea of subtle bodies theorize that the physical body is the most dense of all the bodies we have.
People who claim to have the ability of clairvoyance say that they can see the subtle bodies in the aura. There are several books and websites which include paintings of subtle bodies, their colours and structure.
The existence of subtle bodies is unconfirmed by the scientific community.
