SuperValu (Ireland)

SuperValu is an Irish supermarket chain owned by the Musgraves wholesaler firm. It is very similar in organisation to the SPAR and Londis chains of stores, in that the individual stores are owned on a franchise basis, with the store owners using standardised store layouts and brandings, and selling the same own-brand products.
The majority of Irish towns have a SuperValu store, and for many parts of the country, it is the only retail chain in the locality. The stores generally have a more family feel to them than the more major, non-franchised supermarket chains.
A small number of SuperValu stores exist in Spain, owned by Musgraves Dialsur subsidiary.
