Supercar
Supercar was a 1960's children's television series produced by Gerry Anderson's AP Films in the United Kingdom. Gerry Anderson first coined the term in 1961 to describe an experimental all-purpose, high performance vehicle which can travel on land, fly through the air, and deep-sea dive. This was the first recorded use of the term.

A supercar is type of high-performance automobile. Defining criteria suggested include performance, styling, body type and the prestige of the marque. Opinions differ widely amongst enthusiasts and have generated considerable controversy.

In Italy the telvision series Knight Rider was re-titled Supercar .
