Sushmita Sen

Sushmita Sen (born November 19, 1975, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India) is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood movies.

Biography

In 1994 when she was just 19 years old, Sushmita won the title of Miss India. Later she was the first Indian Miss Universe.

She then decided to pursue a film career. Her first movie, Dastak (1996), was a flop -- but her appearance as Rupali in Biwi No. 1 won her the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award in 1999.

So far, her biggest hit has been the 2004 Main Hoon Na, in which she starred as Shah Rukh Khan's love interest.

She has one daughter, Renee, whom she adopted in 2001.
