Svealand theory
The Svealand theory is the commonly held opinion amongst most scholars that Gamla Uppsala in Uplandia, Sweden, was the location of the ancient pagan temple of Ása-faith worshippers, i.e. the place which in earliest forms was written Uppsala. The theory also includes that Uppland and the region of lake Mälaren was the origin of Svealand, and its tribe the Svear.
