Sweden competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. It was the sixteenth time that the nation had competed, having missed only the 1904 games. Sweden competed under the IOC country code SWE.

In the first modern archery competition at the Olympics, Sweden entered three men and two women. Gunnar Jervill won a silver medal in the men's competition.

Men's:

  • Gunnar Jervill - 2481 points (silver medal)
