Swift Current Broncos
The Swift Current Broncos are a Western Hockey League ice hockey club. The team was founded in 1966, but did not begin league play until 1967. They played for 8 seasons, and in 1974 the team moved to Lethbridge. However, the team moved back to Swift Current in 1986.
On December 30 of that year, the team's bus crashed on the way to a game in Regina. 4 players were killed. However, the team played out the season despite the loss.
The team won its only Memorial Cup championship in 1989.
