Taco Bueno
Taco Bueno is a U.S.-based fast food restaurant chain that specializes in Mexican food. Founded in Abilene, Texas in 1968, the chain is focused mostly on Texas and Oklahoma, with concentrations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Abilene, Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The chain currently operates over 125 restaurants.
In 1981, the chain was purchased by Unigate (now Uniq). In 1996, the company was sold to Carl's Jr. franchisor, CKE Restaurants, and in 2001, it was sold to the private investment group, J.P. Acquisition Fund, who also owns Bertucci's .
