Talk:Klein Plaubel
I don't like this at all.
Why should someone born Anne Klein suddenly (after her marriage?) be referred to as Klein Plaubel ? Klein could never be a first name in German.
There's very little information on that woman in this article. When, where, and under what circumstances did she die? Why was she never indicted? What did she do after 1945?
She also miserably fails the Google test, whether as Klein Plaubel (an absurd combination anyway), Anne Klein , Anne Plaubel , Anne Klein Plaubel , or Anne Klein-Plaubel . All information seems to be based on one single source.
On the verge of putting her on VfD. Any comments? <KF> 23:51, Dec 20, 2004 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, the only (non-)comment so far has been Mikkalai adding a category and, by doing so, solidifying that apparent nonsense or mistake. <KF> 19:48, Dec 30, 2004 (UTC)

+ Gurs ???????????? odd ! odd ! Gurs is a "large concentration camp near Pau, in southwestern France at the foot of the Pyrenees, that was used successively by independent France, Vichy France, and Nazi Germany.
Gurs was built initially to house Republican refugees from the Spanish Civil War and later held refugees fleeing persecution in Germany and Austria. When France capitulated to the Germans in June 1940 ..."
It's strange ! "Anne Klein Plaubel" would be born in a future concentration camp ??????
- I didn't want to imply that that was correct! I was just pointing out that such a camp really existed. Lupo 19:29, 23 Jan 2005 (UTC)
There is no town called "Gurs" in Germany.
- No, the camp was in France. Lupo 19:35, 25 Jan 2005 (UTC)
So there's actually a new contributor -- -- wikifying this biography but not commenting on its absurd title and also the lack of historical sources given. Please react, ladies and gentlemen! <KF> 14:42, Jan 16, 2005 (UTC)
Her name must be Anne Plaubel born Anne Klein.
We will need verifiable external sources. Otherwise this article will have to go. Especially in view of this Google search for +"Anne Klein" +ravensbrück: someone named Anne Klein seems to be a researcher who has published on the KZ Ravensbrück. That's an awefully big coincidence. Without third-party sources we can verify, we will have to treat this as a hoax or a deliberate defamation attempt. Note that IPs involved also have been very active on . - Oh yeah, and I have VfD'ed this article. Lupo 15:41, 21 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Not much of a coincidence. "Anne" and "Klein" are everyday names. The person is real, though the first name seems to be "Anna" rather than "Anne", and I'm not sure if the other facts are correct. Here she is mentioned as "Anna Friederike Mathilde Klein geb. Plaubel", born 1900 (contrary to the article which says Klein was her birth name and gives a much earlier birth year). - I know that "Anne Klein" is not particularly rare. But that there's a researcher on Ravensbrück and a former camp warden of that same concentration camp that share the name struck me as implausible. Anyway, thanks for digging up that PhD dissertation! It looks well sourced and may be invaluable when trying to verify the myriad of other articles 68.248.199.3 has written. I am agree for the second part.
- Given that there is a large discrepancy concerning the facts in the article and that dissertation, I'll let the VfD run its due course—better to start afresh (with the correct name), IMO. Lupo 19:24, 21 Jan 2005 (UTC)
The PhD 68.248.199.3 is a little tired, (burnt out ?), too much work.
