Te
Te can mean:
- The chemical element Tellurium, a brittle silver-white metalloid which looks like tin.
- A letter in the Cyrillic alphabet Te, that corresponds to Latin T in both shape and pronunciation.
- A spelling variation from the Wade-Giles romanization format of the Chinese name or word Teh/De/Dé ( 德 ). See the Tao Te Ching article for more information.
- In the Maori language (Te Reo Māori), the word te is the singular equivalent of the, and is commonly found in the names of New Zealand locations (e.g. Lake Te Anau) and organisations (e.g. Te Wānanga o Aotearoa), as well as some people (e.g. Te Kooti). Plural terms use the word nga in place of te.
