Telescopio Nazionale Galileo
The Telescopio Nazionale Galileo, or TNG is a 3.6m telescope at Roque de los Muchachos Observatory on La Palma in the Canary Islands. Funded by the Italian National Institute of Astrophysics and run by the Centro Galileo Galilei it saw first light in 1998.
It has a design derived from the New Technology Telescope but unlike the NTT it is also equipped with adaptive optics in addition to the active optics found on the NTT as well as other differences.
