Telford Town Centre
Telford Town Centre is the commercial centre of the town of Telford. The area was designated by the Telford Development Corporation (now Telford Development Agency). The land was largely undeveloped before the advent of Telford new town.

Telford Shopping Centre
The main feature is the Telford Shopping Centre, an indoor mall with over 180 shops. The centre is owned by the Universities Superannuation Scheme.
Other features
There is also the International Centre, which is major a conference/exhibition venue.
The headquarters of the Telford and Wrekin unitary authority is located here.
Telford Town Park is a 1.8 square kilometres (444 acres) area of open space.
Impact
There has been some controversy amongst traders and other local people in other parts of Telford, such as Wellington, Oakengates, Madeley and Dawley, about the impact of the centre on local traders.
Access
The area is best reached via junction 5 of the M54 motorway. There is also a railway station ("Telford Central") within walking distance.
Recent developments
The shopping centre was recently extended.
Car parking charges were introduced to the car parks surrounding the shopping centre.
