That's The Way Love Goes
"That's The Way Love Goes" was a 1993 blockbuster single for American R&B diva Janet Jackson. Lyrically written by Jackson, produced by longtime Jackson producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and based off a 1973 James Brown song, the tune was an ode to sexual liberation and romance as the new and improved Jackson opened up about her sexuality. Record music buyers heard her long and clear keeping the song at #1 on Billboard's Pop singles chart for a total of eight weeks making it the biggest-selling song of Jackson's career and leading to a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song (Jackson was among the co-writers).
