The ABC Sunday Movie
The ABC Sunday Movie was a television program scheduled every Sunday night from 1977 to 1997 on ABC. This show featured edited feature films and made-for-TV movies. The featured films were edited (1) for content, to remove objectionable material (2) for time, to reduce the film's running time to fit into the 2-hour timeslot, and (3) for resizing, so the image would fit the standard 4:3 television screen (as opposed to letterbox format).
The previous incarnation of this show was titled The ABC Sunday Night Movie, which ran from 1962 through 1977.
