The Amazing Race 1
The Amazing Race (now referred to as The Amazing Race 1) was the first installment of the popular reality television show, The Amazing Race.
The Season 1 DVD was planned to be released on June 7, 2005. However, that date has been pushed back to late September. [1]

Trivia
- The final 2 teams visited: 4 continents, 9 countries, and traveled 35,000 miles.
- Seasons 1 and 6 were the only editions of the Race to end in the same city they began.
- Although the race is planned so that the final three teams will all reach the Finish Line, Bill and Joe were so far behind that they could not catch up and did not finish the Race.
- Host Phil Keoghan only greeted the last team to check in at each Pit Stop. In future seasons, Phil greeted all teams at the end of each leg.
- Check-in mats for pit stops were just solid yellow in color. In future seasons, these mats would feature an ornately decorated world map.
- After the race, Emily and Brennan broke up with their respective partners and started dating.
- Season 1 took approximately six weeks to film, as opposed to the average four weeks in other seasons.
- Rob and Brennan recorded commentary for the Season 1 DVD on April 5, 2005. [2]
