The Company of Wolves
This 1984 film, starring Sarah Patterson and Angela Lansbury tells a series of stories about wolves and their interaction with a small fairytale village. The film is filled with symbolic folklore, and the various sexual connotations of the werewolves. The classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood is also present, though the wolf takes a different form than in the fairytale.
The film is based on a short story, written by Angela Carter, called "Company of Wolves". Due to budgeting and other factors, some of the wolves shown in the film are dogs that have had their fur coloured.
