The Light Dragoons
The Light Dragoons is an armoured regiment of the British Army.
It was formed in 1992 fron the amalgamation of two regiments, becoming the first dragoon regiment in the British Army for over twenty years:
- 13th/18th Royal Hussars (Queen Mary's Own)
- 15th/19th The King's Royal Hussars
The regiment currently serves in the formation reconnaissance role, equipped primarily with the Scimitar. The regiment's Colonel-in-Chief is HM King Abdullah II.
