The Marked
The Marked was a gothic band that formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1985.
The band members were -
- Billy Corgan - Guitarist
- Ron Roesing - Drums
- Dale Meiners - Bass Guitarist
The band played a few gigs in Chicago before moving to Florida to attempt to find a bigger fan base.
The name of the band was obtained from the red birthmarks that Billy and Ron both had. Dale left the band and was replaced by 'Len ???'. Len was later replaced by James Iha and Billy picked up the bass role. Ron soon departed and Jimmy Chamberlain replaced him on the drums. The band was then transformed into the Smashing Pumpkins.
In 2000 The Marked reappeared as a lawsuit from J.M. Productions for the use of a clip of The Marked in the 1994 Smashing Pumpkins video Vieuphoria .
