The Met

- The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City
- Metropolitan Building, Minneapolis, Minnesota
- Metropolitan Stadium, Bloomington, Minnesota
In the United Kingdom:
- The Metropolitan Police Service of London
- The Met Office national meteorological service
- The Met arts centre in Bury, Greater Manchester.
- The original name of the public transport network of Melbourne (now known as Metlink)
