The New Adventures Of Batman
The New Adventures Of Batman is an animated series produced by Filmation in 1977 featuring the adventures of the DC Comics superheroes, Batman, Robin and often Batgirl.
In this series, the Dynamic Duo fight crime in Gotham City which often involves the classic rogues gallery as well as original villains. Complicating matters is Bat-Mite, a well meaning extra-dimensional imp who considers himself the biggest fan of the superhero. As a result, he wears a variant of Batman's costume and attempts to help him, only to often create more problems although he is occasionally an asset.
The series was produced concurrently with Super Friends produced by the competing Hanna-Barbera Productions which included Batman and Robin as members. The main distinction Filmation's series has is that Batman and Robin are voiced by Adam West and Burt Ward, the lead actors of the Batman live action television series.
